I’m new this whole
writing thing, so I thought I would start off with some of my 2017 goals. New year
new you, right? I’ve decided to break my goals up into a couple different
categories- races, exercising, life and work.
This year I have a couple
big races ahead of me and with big races come some big goals.
1. Finish
my first 100 miler for my 30th birthday (Yeti 100)
2. Maybe
under 24 hours?
3. Run
at least 25 miles at Toughest Mudder in May
4. Maybe
place?
5. Place
top 10 females at WTM in November
6. Maybe
get the coveted 75 mile silver bib?
Along with the big races comes
actually exercising and preparing for them. I’ve been a runner and gym going
for quite a few years now but there are some things I usually neglect working on
to become a better athlete. So this year I’m really going to try to achieve these
goals.
1. Be
able to complete 10 strict pullups in a row
2. Run
1000 miles this year (already at 65ish, so a pretty good start a lot more to
go)
3. Prehab
and take care of my body before I destroy it
4. Start
doing yoga more
Life. Everyone has a
different definition of it. I want my life to be less negative and more carefree.
I want to be more positive, nicer person and not so jaded. I want to travel and
learn new things. I want to make a better effort at my relationships with my
family and friends. With being less negative and more careful comes finding a
job. Working is something I’m not currently fond of, but I do it before life. This
year I’m hoping to find a job I truly love and makes me happy to go to every
day.
Here's to a new years and lot of goals!
